Halloween celebration has deep roots in Western Christian countries, but it's relatively new for the rest of the world. Kids and young people, in particular, love Halloween, because they can do trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving, have costume parties at school and with friends or relatives, decorate their homes or front yards, and do many other activities. Halloween is no longer a strictly religious feast, but rather a social event no matter people's religion.

Halloween is believed to have been adopted by Christianity from Celtic harvest festivals which have pagan roots. Halloween in Christianity aims to remember the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs and other people who dedicated their lives to God. However, people mostly use decorations with ghosts, skeletons, zombies and alike. In this article, I want to show you how Torontonians are getting ready for the Halloween celebration.
Many make their front yard look like a cemetery.
Another popular hero is a spider with its web.

Happy Halloween!
