La Paz Waterfall Gardens is one of the best privately owned nature reserves in Costa Rica. Not only does it have several hiking trails which can take you to beautiful waterfalls in the jungle, but also it has a full-blown zoo and botanic gardens with local animals and plants.

This aviary has 40 different species of birds.
There is a separate room where you can hold a real toucan. In this picture - Chestnut-mandibled toucan.
